Jeroen Verkroost was announced as new acting director of IAB Nederland during the yearly meeting of IAB the Netherlands members on February 18th 2016. Current director Govaert Plesman found a new challenge and will continue his career outside of IAB the Netherlands from 15 March onward.
Jeroen has held a board position at the Dutch IAB for close to three years. He is up-to-speed with current plans and activities at the IAB so the familiarisation period can be short, ensuring that IAB does not lose momentum in executing on this year’s plans. With a track record spanning roles as Commercial Director for Newconomy, Product Director at several Telco’s, Interactive Director at SBS Broadcasting, Online advertising sales director at Microsoft and Chief Digital Officer at De Persgroep Jeroen has a broad and solid digital background.
Jeroen: “For me it really is a privilege and an honour to take this ad interim role. I was present at the first ever Dutch IAB-meetings in 1997 and in almost 20 (!) years, I have seen this IAB office mature without losing any of its ambition or passion for digital marketing. I look forward to delivering a positive contribution to the further professionalization and development of our market for digital advertising and interactive marketing.”
Jeroen will step down from his role as IAB board member for the duration of the interim-period.
